Carlsen Porsche has its roots in two of the U.S.'s earliest Porsche dealerships: Gus Mozart VW/Porsche and Carl R. Carlsen VW/Porsche.

Gus and Carl were pioneers in establishing VW/Porsche dealerships - Gus in Palo Alto, Carl in San Francisco - and both earned the very highest national reputations for outstanding product and customer support.

Gus Mozart Porsche + Audi was established in 1969, and when Gus decided, in 1975, to retire, Carl became the new dealer (Carl had himself retired from the car business in the late '60s, but chose to return to the business with Charlie Burton, the current president of Carlsen Porsche, as his general manager).

We'd like to think that evidence of the success of the efforts of our enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated employees - in our award-winning sales, service and parts departments - is the great number of customers who return to us again and again for their Porsches and who are kind enough to refer their friends, colleagues and neighbors to us.

It is, after all, our customers to whom we owe our thanks for our continued success.
